The SkinMedica Rejuvenize Peel addresses the visible skin imperfections that result from photodamaged skin, fine lines, wrinkles, pigmentary irregularities, acne-prone skin, and mild acne scarring. It is a quick and safe approach that produces compelling results with moderate irritation. Once the peeling process is complete, the skin is left with a healthy and refreshed glow.

Does the Rejuvenize Peel work on all skin types?

The Rejuvenize Peel can be used on all skin types (Fitzpatrick types I-IV). However, we recommend that those with darker skin (Fitzpatrick types V and VI) have a peel test elsewhere on the body (typically the inside of the forearm) to ensure that their skin is able to tolerate the treatment without causing discoloration. We will perform this test during the consultation appointment, then will need to wait at least 1 week to assess the full impact of the peel before scheduling a treatment for the face.

How long after each treatment does the peeling last?

Immediately after treatment and for the first 24 hours, the skin may feel tight. Peeling generally starts within 48-72 hours after the procedure and can last 2-5 days. During this time, moisturizer should be applied frequently to control the peeling.

How often can I get a Rejuvenize Peel?

This peel may be repeated every 4-6 weeks for up to 6 consecutive treatments. We typically recommend a series of 3-6 peels for maximum benefit, though many people are happy with a single treatment. Prior to treatment, we will discuss with you a treatment plan that is best suited to your skin type and your desires for your skin.
